Parikshit Sahni believes Life OK's Meri Maa will gain more TRPs

Parikshit Sahani
K Venkatesh Productions’ debut venture Meri Maa on Life OK, is a remake Bengali hit series Maa on Star Jalsa. And just like any other remake, there were great expectations from this series; however, it has not lived up to its expectations. But Parikshit Sahni, who is part of this daily, is hopeful that things will get better. “I am hopeful that the show will work as even the original Bengali series took some time to establish itself on the channel and get good numbers. So even we will pick up,” says the optimistic actor. “There are many factors; firstly the channel has been relaunched; so once the channel will pick up the show will also start fairing well. In fact, in Bengali version, when the protagonist (the small girl) came in the house, the number rose. And in our show, that track has just been introduced, so you never know when the numbers might go up,” he adds. Apart from that, he feels the show has a tough task ahead having popular shows as competitors: “The other shows that air at 9 have some fantastic viewership and I believe it is not an easy task to pull away the viewers.” Though the numbers aren’t impressive, the response the series is getting is really good. “The feedback I have been receiving is very positive. Many of my friends have congratulated me for the show. And I am positive the show will pick up, as it has all to potential to,” ends Parikshit.
