Parul Chauhan to replace Mitali Nag in Afsar Bitiya?

Yesterday (17 July, 2012), certain sections of the media reported about Mitali Nag’s exit from Zee TV’s Afsar Bitiya. Now, Mitali is the female lead and by introducing an accident sequence, her character Krishna will be brought to an end. There is also a buzz that the channel is planning to rope in a renowned face as her replacement. We started digging deep and learnt from our industry sources that dusky beauty Parul Chauhan has been selected to be the next Afsar Bitiya. Parul, as we all know, gained immense popularity via her stint in Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai (Star Plus). Now, Afsar Bitiya’s male lead Kinshuk Mahajan was paired opposite Parul in Bidaai. The makers of Afsar (Village Boy Productions), intends to cash in on the popularity and chemistry of the jodi. We hope that the move will help to bring a spike in the ratings. We tried getting in touch with producer Rakesh Paswan but he remained unavailable. We had a word with Zee, Fiction Head, Sukesh Motwani, but he refrained from divulging any details.
