Our sources have informed that DD is all set to air a new show Anmol Ratan.
Produced by Cutting Edge Productions, it will see Bollywood veteran actor Prem Chopra playing an important role. The show will be a family drama on the rivalry between two Thakur families. With love, betrayal and revenge being the crux of the story, Anmol Ratan will give viewers a chance to enjoy the flavour of ‘asli dushmani’.
Also playing pivotal roles in the show are Maleeka R Ghai (Desh Ki Beti Nandini, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi) and Shahbaz Khan (Maharana Pratap, Ek Ghar Banaunga).
The pilot of the show has been recently shot and it will go on floors from next month.
Cutting Edge Productions is a popular name in Marathi entertainment and Anmol Ratan is their first venture on Hindi TV.
We spoke to Maleeka who confirmed the news but refused to divulge more details.
We also tried reaching Shahbaz but he remained unavailable to comment.
