Producer Rajan Shahi, who is known for one of the longest-running family shows Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has ventured into the comedy genre with Sony Sab TV’s Baavle Utaavle. Shahi, who is known as quite the star maker and has given opportunities to so many actors such as Angad Hasija, Kinshuk Mahajan, Sara Khan, Parul Chauhan, and Dheeraj Dhooper, has launched debutante actor Shivani Badoni with the show. She is paired alongside actor Paras Arora, who has done some shows in past.

A launch party was held on the day the show’s first episode aired, the 18th of February 2019. The cast and crew watched the episode together and celebrated with a cake and a lavish dinner. 

Rajan Shahi says, “In 2019, the endeavor of the Director's Kut production is to explore different genres. This is the first comedy show which is being produced by Director's Kut production. This is also a story about relationships, romance, and family but with a different lens.”

The show highlights the journey of two curious adults from a small town. There, the youth have just one goal; to find love and get married. Baavle Utaavle is the story of Guddu and Funty, who are desperate to meet their soulmates and explore companionship.
