Puneet Issar's son Siddhant not interested in doing TV

MUMBAI : While Puneet Issar has been popular for playing Duryodhan in Mahabharat, his son and actor Siddhant Issar, says he does not want to do TV shows or be part of any reality series. "I am not very keen on doing TV. I am more taken away by web shows and films. I enjoy performing live at theatres. I do not find myself suitable even for reality TV shows. I'm very sensitive soul, so I don't think I would last a day in any of such shows. To be in a reality show one has to be mentally strong" he says.

The actor has excelled in theatre over the years where he too plays Duryodhan in India's most successful live theatre play Mahabharat- An Epic Tale. He agrees that he has been inspired by his dad. "My father is a a man who believes in hardwork over just using his sources. He believes its our efforts and constant perseverance that matters. He taught me that giving respect and love to others is must to achieve success. He doesn't insist on helping me with any of his reference but wants me to struggle and make my way for myself. But yes, as a responsible parent he always encourages me. He gives me the best opinion or feedback on my work. Like him, I wish to make my own identity here in the entertainment industry", he shares.

Talking about his interest towards mythological series he adds, "I love mythology! I have read the entire Mahabharata and Ramayana multiple times. I love performing on stage as Duryodhan and have earned great reviews. I love stage as today's mythologial TV shows are different."
