MUMBAI :Actress Rakhi Sawant has a penchant for staying in the news for one reason or the other. Lately, the actress was in the news for her hush hush wedding with beau Adil Khan Durrani, him denying having married her and then finally telling the media that he accepts his marriage with Rakhi. The latter also claimed that she was pregnant and had a misscarriage.

The latest on Rakhi is that she was arrested after actress Sherlyn Chopra filed a police complaint against her pertaining to her objectionable language used for her. The Main Hoon Na actress was arrested on 19th January 2023 and has now been allowed to go home and her arrest has been kept on hold, on humanitarian grounds. She left the police station with her husband Adil Durrani.
Meanwhile Sherlyn Chopra’s lawyer Suhail Shariff said, “Rakhi Sawant has produced a medical certificate of her mother which shows she is in critical condition, based on this and on humanitarian grounds Sherlyn and her lawyer are not pressing for her arrest as of now.”
A source disclosed, “Amboli police allowed actress Rakhi Sawant to go home. Police say that Rakhi cooperated in the interrogation and has also handed over her mobile phone to us for investigation, so there is no concrete reason to arrest her.”
Sherlyn said, “But Rakhi has been called to report at the police station tomorrow too. It's not over yet. The police told me that they will continue to call her until the questioning is over. They have told me that I shall get justice.”
Rakhi’s bail plea was rejected yesterday at the Dindoshi Court. She was supposed to inaugurate her dance academy yesterday at 3pm with husband Adil Durrani, which didn’t happen.
Announcing Rakhi’s arrest Sherlyn had posted on her Twitter account, “BREAKING NEWS!!! AMBOLI POLICE HAS ARRESTED RAKHI SAWANT IN RESPECT OF FIR 883/2022 YESTERDAY, RAKHI SAWANT’S ABA 1870/2022 WAS REJECTED BY MUMBAI SESSIONS COURT.”
