The annual awards are highly anticipated as it brings all the actors, actresses and producers from various shows under one roof. The awards night is a celebration of all the people who are and have been a part of the Star family.

While there will be many performances and awards, there is one special performance to look forward to. Deepika Singh who plays IPS officer Sandhya Rathi in Diya Aur Bati Hum is very excited about this year’ Star Parivaar Awards 2016. The rough and tough character on the show will showcase her cultural talent on the awards night and make a debut of her Odissi dance performance on stage. Many in the industry are not aware of the fact that Deepika has been learning Odissi dance and has been waiting to perform on a live stage which will soon be fulfilled.

“I have always wanted to learn dancing especially the traditional form of dance. My husband who supports this dream actually got me to get into traditional dancing seriously 2 years back. I have been training in the Odissi classical dance form almost every day despite hectic shoot schedules. It helps me focus better and keeps me fit too. My fans also have been supportive about my passion for dance on social media. I can’t wait to show my fans my dance at Star Parivaar Awards 2016 and I hope everyone likes my performance.” quipped the excited actress.
