Shabbir Ahluwalia to make a comeback on small screen with Bhairavi Raichura and Nandita Mehra's show on Star Plus?

Recently, we saw the return of beautiful Kanchi Kaul to television with Star Plus’ Meri Bhabhi. It now seems that her husband and handsome hunk Shabbir Ahluwalia is all set to stage a comeback as an actor this year. Shabbir, who came to the limelight as the stunning man Rishi Garewal in Kahiin Toh Hoga and went on to gain fame and name through shows like Kkavyanjali, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Kayamath, is said to be finalized to play the lead protagonist in Bhairavi Raichura and Nandita Mehra’s upcoming mega-budget project on Star Plus. The plot of the serial is tentatively based on the American hit series Missing for which the makers have bought rights. A reliable source tells us that the makers were looking for an apt personality to essay the role of cop Viren, the protagonist. And when they narrated the script and role to Shabbir, he instantly developed a liking towards the project. Presently, final talks with the actor are on, and things look very bright indeed. When contacted, Producer Nandita Mehra said, “Well, nothing is finalized yet. Talks are on with many actors, so I cannot talk about anything right now.” We sent out a text message to Shabbir, but did not get any reply. Shabbir who has also hosted a series of reality shows like Dancing Queen, Meethi Churi No. 1, and Guinness World Record was last seen donning the role of Dutta Bhau in Colors’ Laagi Tujhse Lagan. As Producer (Flying Turtles), Shabbir has produced shows Ganga Ki Dheej and Savitri. Let’s hope loyal fans of Shabbir get to see him donning this new avatar on TV.
