MUMBAI: In an utterly heart-breaking turn of events, the Indian entertainment fraternity is mourning the sudden and unexpected loss of actress and model Shefali Jariwala.
Best known for her breakout performance in the early 2000s chartbuster Kaanta Laga, the 40-year-old star is believed to have passed away late last night, with initial reports suggesting a suspected cardiac arrest.

However, as per reports from Hindustan Times further information from the Mumbai Police state that the cause of death is uncertain. According to officials, Shefali was discovered at her residence in Andheri, and the definitive cause of her death remains unconfirmed.
“A call was received by the police around 1 a.m. regarding the situation. The body was immediately sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The cause of death is currently under investigation,” a senior police officer told news agency ANI.
A forensic team, along with personnel from the local police station, visited the actress’s residence early this morning to gather further evidence as part of the ongoing inquiry.
