MUMBAI: Much has been said about the Television couple Charu and Rajeev. The troubles in their marriage seemed to be brimming every other month. However, a few weeks ago we saw the Baalveer actress Charu Asopa elated to be celebrating her daughter Ziana’s first birthday party with hubby Rajeev’s family in Dubai.
Her pictures prior to her Dubai trip in Bikaner with her family were also loved by fans and the actress looked content and happy.
We also heard that she had sorted her differences with husband Rajeev and the two, who were previously heading for divorce, had reconciled.
But now, there seems to be trouble in paradise….again!
After Rajeev had blocked Charu on his Instagram account, now there is news that the couple are unable to reconcile and are heading for a divorce.
The Jiji Maa actress, told a news portal, “Rajeev would vanish for weeks or months following every altercation and block me from all modes of communication so that I couldn’t reach him or know his whereabouts. Days before the lockdown, he left me for three months. I was alone during that time. The final straw was when he left home and stayed in a hotel for two days. I realized that he is 45 and I can’t change him. We have had a lot of issues, but I was hoping for them to get resolved for the sake of our daughter Ziana. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.”
According to the actress, Rajeev has reportedly been physically abusive to her too. She added, “Rajeev is temperamental, has abused and even raised his hand on me once or twice. He would suspect me of cheating on him. When I was shooting for Akbar Ka Bal Birbal, he sent messages to my co-actors to stay away from me. It became difficult for me to work. I feel that he was cheating on me, but that’s something I can’t prove.”

Charu has reportedly made up her mind to seek divorce, as a reconciliation is as good as impossible now. Giving his side of the story, Rajeev said, “I never wanted a divorce. She did. I married her to give her happiness and to be her partner for life. But at the same time, I, too, deserve a bit of happiness and love. Charu needs to get out of her YouTube world and understand the importance of her family, more so now after we have been blessed with a beautiful daughter. I feel too much ego, pride, and bad friends have killed what could have been a beautiful marriage.”
Rajeev further added, “Rather than getting a divorce and moving on with her life, my not-so-genuine wife lies about me being abusive and physical with her. Just like she never told me about her first failed marriage. May God have mercy on her and the entire Asopa family.” Adding that Charu isn’t mentally stable, Rajeev said, “There is so much I can say about her and her family. But I would rather keep quiet about it for the time being. Everyone has clearly seen how the entire Sen family has always kept their dignity and given respect to the Asopa family by not talking to the media against them. Even in my case, I have always replied to what Charu has said to the media. But never made any statement first in the media. She is clearly a disturbed woman, and my daughter, Ziana, is not safe with her.”
