MUMBAI: Actress Shruti Gholap, known for playing Sumati in Jamai No. 1, is a woman of many passions—acting, painting, singing, cooking, and most importantly, her love for animals and travel.
“I have three cats, and they are the love of my life. Playing with them instantly lifts my mood. They’re my stress-busters, my little family.”
While her fans know her as a talented actress, Shruti has also embarked on a new academic journey—one she’s not revealing just yet. “I’ve started studying something, but I won’t disclose it right now,” she teased. “It will take another two years to complete, and I’m really excited about it.”
A passionate traveler, Shruti dreams of exploring many places, but Greece tops her list. “Travel broadens our perspective—it changes the way we see things. There’s so much to learn from different cultures,” she said, her eyes lighting up at the thought of new adventures.
When not on set, Shruti indulges in her creative side. “I sing, I paint, and I cook really well,” she shared proudly. But there’s one thing she absolutely cannot live without. “My water bottle! It’s with me all the time,” she laughed.
As for her ideal day off? “A perfect day is one where I take a long walk, meet my friends, and enjoy a good cup of tea,” she said. “Simple joys make life beautiful.”
