Silsila Pyaar Ka team's 'special' #GudiPadwa celebration

Popular actress Shilpa Shirodkar who is currently playing the role of Janki Tiwari in Silsila Pyaar Ka on Star Plus, is really excited this Gudi Padwa. Gudi Padwa is celebrated as the the New Year for Marathis. Shilpa, this year, decided to bring in the New Year in a more ecstatic way. And we must add she was excited for the same. Shilpa who has by now celebrated the occasion with her family decided to make something sweet for her team on the set and also get gifts for them on the festival. Shared the actress, “When I was abroad I used to do pooja in the house and make Sakhar bhaat. But now that I am in India we take a stick, put asilk shawl, silver kalash on it. We also design a swastik on the kalash, and do the pooja with haldi kumkum and flower haar. We also make saakar bhaat (sugar rice) and relish it with the family. “It's our New year and a very auspicious occasion for us. Each year I buy things for our family members, chandi ke sikke and bartan is a must purchase for us. Since I am working this year, I made it a point to celebrate the do with my team,” added the actress. Happy Gudi Padwa all!
