Simple's negative act

Simple Kaul, a choosy actor who was last seen in Zaara - Pyar Ki Saugat, has bagged a new show on Zee. She enters in Teen Bahuraaniyan as Nisha. Though having a girl next door image, she looking forward to portraying a negative character. "I'll be essaying the role of Nisha. It's a hardcore negative role which will bring a major twist in the tale. The reason for taking up this show was the director Swapna as she is my favorite and I had worked with her in my earlier show - Twinkle Beauty Parlor," says Simple with a smile. Elaborating on her role, she further explains, "Nisha is a young woman who is married to a rich man of her father's age. She is a go getter and ambitious in life. She meets Sameer (Manish Raisinghania) who comes for an interview to her office. Sameer is her ex-boyfriend. Now Nisha will try and get back with Sameer and this is where the main drama starts." She had also done a cameo in Kkajjal. So what's the reason for doing character parts only? "I'm waiting for a meaty role to come my way. There is nothing that interests me to commit to a show for a longer period. There are a few talks going on sp lets hope everything turns out for the better," she concludes. Life may not be simple for Simple Kaul, but she's patient and willing to wait for that as yet elusive meaty role.
