Soumya Seth's very much at home with Khoobsurat unit

Soumya Seth is very happy with her entire Sony TV’s Khoobsurat unit (Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd.) “Everyone including the actors, director and unit hands are indeed very friendly; we are like a family. We gel well, right from taking blessings from Ganapati before we start work to the last scene of the day,” she quips. “This closeness can be seen by the fact that I can leave my mobile phone around knowing that no one will put his hands on it. You know what? Our director screams at us for being so careless,” she informs. Referring to a bizarre affair, she avers, “We have a rule that if anyone’s phone rings during the shoot, he or she has to treat the entire unit with cold drinks. I have paid this penalty several times, but it is good, for, after all, we spend most of our time with the unit and only go home to sleep. The entire unit is very helpful in every other way as well.” “Many a times, when we have to shoot an important scene, the director asks the unit guys to collect everybody’s phones and they are, in turn, put on silent mode, so that we can work without disturbance. Since we trust each other very much we don’t mind surrendering our phones.” “Today too, when we were shooting a crucial scene, we had to give out our phones. Then, when I realised that you would call, I requested the director for my phone. And pat came his reply, ‘If your phone rings during the shoot you will have to treat us again.’ I agreed, but luckily, your call came only when we were taking a short break. So I did not have to pay a fine,” she laughingly adds.
