MUMBAI : After appearing in the fifteenth season of the dating TV reality show, Kashish Kapoor rose to prominence as one of the most controversial competitors in Splitsvilla history. After choosing to accept the prize money in the finale and forcing her partner Digvijay Rathee to leave the show, Kapoor witnessed a great deal of criticism. In a recent interview with the popular news portal, Kashish discussed her relationship with Digvijay and what transpired after she apologized to him.

Kashish Kapoor said, "Digvijay and I never had a romantic connection, we were never even friends. We only got together to play two days before the finale. I respect him as a player. In fact, it was always awkward between us."
In response to the question of whether she tried to contact Digvijay by a call, she says, "I never phone called him. I couldn't bring myself to do that since I knew the magnitude of the effect of my actions. I had a lot of regrets, how could I expect him to listen to my apology?"
Kashish further says, "But when we met in person, I gathered the courage to apologize to him. It was on Sachin's birthday so I spoke to him and said sorry. I told him I was feeling so guilty. I couldn't sleep at night thinking I had hurt someone. I told him 'if you want to fight me with publically, you do that. But just know that I like you and I respect you'. He heard me and told me that it was fine. He knows how reality shows work, it's a part of the game. He told me he needed some time to come to terms with it. We chilled together after that."
He'd said that Kashish had never apologized to him when he'd interviewed Digvijay before. She approached him and enquired about what was wrong, according to him. This completely contradicts what Kapoor stated during the conversation.
Sunny Leone and Tanuj Virwani hosted Splitsvilla X5. Jaswanth Bopanna and Akriti Negi won the season.
