Star Jalsha launches new soap on Lord Krishna

There are certain stories that never grow old and one such is the story of Lord Krishna. Well readers, popular channel Star Jalsha is launching a new soap titled Bhaktar Bhagawan Shri Krishna. Showcasing the life of Lord Shri Krishna, the show will portray his journey from being the mischief monger in Vrindawan, to the chosen one to end the tyranny of Kansa, to the shrewd politician in the battle field of Mahabharata. The serial will see well known actor Biswanath Basu for the first time in a different kind of a role. He is enacting the role of the mighty and cruel king Kansa. We tried to contact Biswanath for a comment but could not reach him. Other actors to essay key roles include Sujata, Anirban, Bhaswar, Mahua, Sahana, Monalisa, Priya, Manoj, Mimi and Sourav. The screenplay has been done by ace writer N K Salil, who is making a comeback to TV serial writing after a long time through this project. Produced by Surinder Films and directed by Amit Das, it will start from 21st March, airing Monday to Sunday at 10 pm.
