Star Parivaar gets together for an early Holi

It was a Saturday when shoots and weekend outings were pushed back from the agenda of telly stars. Star Plus, in another of its innovative stunts, pulled off a premature Holi at the Tulip Star on Saturday, and got the stars to play uninhibited with colours, flowers and water. Unlike other structured events, the Holi bash turned out to be an exuberant spontaneous affair, with celebs of all shows hugging, greeting each other with lavish colour and splashing generous tinted water over one another.

Unlike other structured events, the Holi bash turned out to be an exuberant spontaneous affair, with celebs of all shows hugging, greeting each other with lavish colour and splashing generous tinted water over one another. The marigold bedecked mandap was the venue for games like 'Antakshari' and Tug-of-war between channels and production houses (the channels side won!) while lac bangle makers and tarot card readers and masseurs stood by to attend to whoever wished to avail of their services. The ethnic touch was provided by the chana jor garam sellers, while the innovative touch came with the vodka spiked pani puris. Smriti Z Iraani, aided by hubby Zubin was the perfect hostess, anointing each guest with colour and escorting them to the showers for an initial drenching! The Instant Khichdi family, the Kahaani gang, the Kyunki folks and the Kasautii team were out in full force, as were surprise entrants like master chef Sanjeev Kapoor and the Boogie Woogie duo Naved Jaferi and Ravi Behl. Of course, the party would have been incomplete without party animal Kishen Mulchandani, who went about wishing everyone Happy Holi, and leaving surprised stares behind him wherever he went! Watch this space on Monday for a blow by blow account of the holi bash!
