A Starry weekend in the UK!

It was a weekend to remember for the fans of Star Plus' stars who descended on London the last weekend of August Britain's Asian couch potatoes could not have asked for more as Tulsi, Mihir (ahem, the erstwhile one, as Star UK is probably still in its Amar Upadhyay phase!), Pammi and Parvati danced, mingled and chatted with fans during the outdoor event and celebrity show held during August Bank Holiday.
The artistes took a break from their shooting schedules in suburban Mumbai to jet into London on 27 August for a whistle-stop tour of the UK, visiting Leicester before the Galaxy of Stars Festival, which was held at the RCT Cricket Ground in Harrow. The event featured live stage entertainment from Asian dance academies in the UK, a fun fair, and much more. Says an excited Sangeeta Ghosh, "It was unbelievable! The crowds were waiting for hours in the cold and rain till we reached the venue! We must have spent at least six to seven hours just signing autographs for our fans. It was very touching!" Apart from Tulsi and Parvati, fans also made a beeline for Varun Badola, Shweta Salve, Narayani Shastri and Niki Aneja, and begged for more as the event wore on. As is apparent, the stars probably had as great a time as the fans!
