If you expected that Shaleen Bhanot would be an unhappy man with his much hyped show on Star Plus, Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein (Ravi Ojha Productions) shutting shop in just seven months, then you are wrong!! Shaleen Bhanot in a frank conversation with Tellychakkar.com says, “You do feel bad when you put in so much of effort and things don’t work, but that is fine. What is more important is that we have got a lot of positive feedback from the digital media. Fans have been bombarding the social networking world with requests to get the swrial back. This reflects that certain section of the audience have liked our show.” Ask him as to why the numbers never came, and he says, “One line of thinking goes that maybe the concept of Sajda was ahead of time. Possibly smaller town viewers are not yet ready to go beyond the normal family dramas.” Furthermore, Shaleen exudes optimism by stating, “The positive way of looking at it is that I was lucky enough to play the character of an ATS officer Ranvir on a daily show and this does not happen normally. I have always done something offbeat, be it Do Hanson Ka Jodaa or even Nach Baliye (which he won with better half Daljeet) when I never thought I could dance.’ Shaleen refuses to speculate whether the channel pulled the plug pretty early as Sajda was not a massy show, and that even the production house might have incurred heavy losses. “I am not privy to the financial negotiations between them, so cannot comment. However, the producers were happy to have brought in such a concept.” Looking ahead, Shaleen says, “I might have something else in my kitty but I cannot reveal much as there is a long time to go. It will come on air once the rainy season is over.” Good luck, Shaleen!!!
