MUMBAI: A major development is in the pipeline for the upcoming season of singing reality series The Voice. The talent show is up for a channel change.
TellyChakkar has the exclusive scoop that the makers are planning to shift the competition on another channel. The first two seasons aired on &TV and became quite a hit amongst the masses.
However, a little birdie informs us that the next two seasons will stream on Star Plus instead.
‘The high officials in the channel have already given the show a green-flag,’ a source reveals.
The show was so popular that the channel kick started a kid’s edition.
This is not the first time the program has witnessed a major change. Earlier, it has also gone through a production house change. The first season was produced by Endemol India, while the second season was helmed by Urban Brew Studios.
The upcoming season is under planning.
Popular musicians Neeti Mohan, Shaan, Benny Dayal, Salim Merchant, Himmesh Reshammiya, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Mika Singh have been a part of the show as mentors.
We’ll have to wait and watch if the channel shift will help the weekly grab more eyeballs and traction.
