There is no harm if a woman bears the expenditure of the family: Abhishek Rawat

Abhishek Rawat

Actor Abhishek Rawat last seen in Baawre, is all set with his upcoming show Service Wali Bahu (Village Boy Productions) on Zee TV, which deals with the serious issue of dowry in India.

The show will focus on how in current times in forms of working daughter-in-law the groom’s side indirectly claims for dowry.

When we spoke to the talented actor about the theme of the show, Abhishek mentioned, “My show deals with the concept of getting married to working women so that instead of asking for dowry, the groom’s side can live on her earnings for lifetime”.

“Even I got married to a working woman, and I like the fact that my wife is contributing in the family expense. I believe there is no harm if a woman earns to contribute and bear the expenditure of the family but, definitely that should not be the only purpose of getting married to a working woman”, added Abhishek.

He went on to add, “One should not marry a working woman only for monetary benefits. The intention of the groom’s family is the most important thing, which matters”.

Since the show is dealing with a serious issue, we quizzed the actor about his thoughts whether the show will be able to spread a social message or not. The talented actor quickly replied, “We are not trying to preach anything, we are showing what happens in the society. But, I believe that media being so much active these days will be able to spread awareness”.

Before signing off the actor mentioned how understanding and mutual respect matters in a relationship and he has seen many couples sharing their responsibilities.

We wish the actor all the best and hope that the show will be able spread awareness among the masses.
