Kanwar Dhillon essays the character of Sachin, who is a taxi driver and earns his livelihood with it, while Neha Harsora portrays the role of Sailee, a florist who dabbles in various small businesses and makes a living out of her makeshift.

The show is produced by Rahul Kumar Tewary and Srinivasan.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Rahul and in an exclusive chat, he spoke at length about the concept of the show and the response he has received.

Rahul shared, “We were looking out for a fresh concept to roll out a show and a friend of mine – Srinivasan, has made a show for Star Vijay which was about friendship and youngsters who are a mismatch, it’s a story about family relationships and it is shot very beautifully.  It was very relatable and was nothing dreamlike such as a poor girl reaching a rich boy’s mansion. The story was very relatable. It is a story about people who meet are different personalities, they get married and how the family sees them with different aspects.

This was the motive of bringing Udne Ki Asha on-screen.”

Speaking about the prime-time slot and the show replacing Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, Rahul expressed, “This is a prime-time slot which is better for my show. The promo of the show has got a good response and people are always fond of something new. There are also many people who called me and gave a good feedback. But the real test will be when the show comes on-air.”

We asked Rahul about the X factor of Udne Ki Asha

He opined, “The characters are very relatable. It is today’s story. The girl and boy both are from a relatable middle class family and is a story of today’s youth.

We are launching the show way before IPL and every broadcaster launches the show three to four weeks prior to IPL and it is a broadcaster’s call which have a huge research team and they know and understand what they are doing.”

Tewary says that he’s always tried to make content across genre  and his own production house is just an extension to the same.
