Vivek Bahl appointed as Network Advisor Content for Viacom18

Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd. Today (17 May 2012) announced the appointment of <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/why-imagine-tvs-vivek-bahl-shying-away-media-after-channels-closure>Vivek Bahl</a> as the Network Advisor Content. As a part of this new role, Vivek's immediate focus will be to work on the regional channels the group plans to get into. Besides he will also play a strategic role in planning, development of new content. He will report to Raj Nayak, CEO – Colors and will have a parallel line of reporting to the Regional Head.

Announcing his appointment, Raj Nayak, Chief Executive Officer Colors said,"Vivek comes with great experience in developing content for different genres and his understanding of the television and entertainment industry is quite phenomenal. Vivek Bahl joins Viacom18 from Turner International, where he was Chief Content Officer for India and overlooked the content strategy and development for Turner’s entertainment brands in India which included Imagine TV, Cartoon Network, Pogo and Warner Brothers. He has over 25 years experience in the entertainment industry and a strategic cross-functional perspective. Prior to this, he has worked with leading television networks in India including Star TV and Zee TV, where he helped in the development of multiple fiction and non-fiction properties including Antakshari, Banegi Apni Baat, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Banoo Mein Teri Dulhan, Jab Love Hua, Bidaai, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlaata Hai, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Sindoor, Saat Phere, Betiyaan, Maayka and Pratigya.
