MUMBAI: In the ongoing track of Sony Entertainment Television’s divine saga ‘Shrimad Ramayan,’ Lord Ram’s vanara-sena begins constructing the legendary Ram Setu bridge to reach Lanka. But before embarking on this historic journey, Lord Ram wished to worship Lord Shiva, and Lord Ram thus sanctified the land by establishing one of the famous Jyotirlingas at the seashore; this sacred site was named Rameshwaram and has been revered by devotees for generations.
Amidst the preparations of the imminent war, King Ravan’s son, Meghnad, strategizes and sends a legion of demons to thwart Lord Ram's mission. These demonic adversaries pose a formidable challenge, testing the resilience and valour of Lord Ram and his devoted followers.
Actor Rushiraj Pawar, who brings to life the character Meghnad, adds his perspective, saying, “The storyline beautifully captures the emotions and dynamics of each character wherein on one side, Lord Ram is determined to rescue Mata Sita and on the other hand, Meghnad, as a dutiful son, is driven by a strong desire to protect his father and his territory by doing all he can to safeguard his father’s territory.”
Tune in to 'Shrimad Ramayan' every Monday to Friday at 9:00 PM, exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television
