It’s time to welcome a new mythological show!
Yes readers, the popular channel Zee Bangla is launching a mythological period drama based on goddess Lakshmi.
Titled "Esho Maa Lakshmi" and directed by Rupak Dey, the story will revolve around various folklores surrounding this Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity both in the material as well as spiritual form.
Produced by Nispal Singh Rane (Surinder Films), the show will aim to know and narrate about the miraculous stories of Goddess Lakshmi and how she became the most respected household name.
When quizzed what made him produce this period drama, Nispal stated, “I liked the concept; it is a different concept which has not been ventured so far in Bengali television.”
Amidst family dramas and detective shows, do you think the serial will succeed in making its mark? “Yes of course, because Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity and is worshipped throughout the country,” said the producer.
The serial will air from 23rd November.
