Exclusive! "When I heard about the character I immediately said yes to the project" - Zoya Afroz on Matsya Kaand

MUMBAI: Zoya Afroz is indeed one of the finest actresses in the acting industry, we have seen some amazing work coming from the side of the actress and getting all the love from the fans. Now the actress is all set to be seen in the upcoming MX player web series titled Matsya Kaand.

Team Telly Chakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the actress with regards to her upcoming web series and her character in it.

Right from the trailer we can see that the show is based on the concept of Con game, it is a cat and mice game which will be surely loved by the fans, the actress says. The fans will see her in a completely different avatar and the character something like this she has never done before. Throwing some light on her character, the actress says that she will be seen playing the character whose name is Urvashi who is a magician and a con artist.

Zoya Afroz says she was eagerly waiting for something like this. When she heard the script and her character for the first time she immediately said yes to the project and she was very excited to play Urvashi. The actress says that this is a completely different world that has been created by the makers and the character of a magician she had never performed before. This immediately triggered her to say yes to this project. The actress says that the fine casting is another reason she said yes to the project. She says it was a great learning and refreshing journey overall.

Zoya Afroz on preparation for her character

Indeed we are going to see actress Zoya Afroz in a completely different character in the web series. The actress revealed that to play a magician on screen she had to go through some rigorous workshops and training, the actress went through the training process to learn magic tricks, she also had to go through workshops to build chemistry. But having said that the actress says it was a great and fun experience throughout the workshop.
