MUMBAI : After releasing on the OTT platform of Amazon Prime Video on the 3rd of July, film 'Sufiyum Sujatayum' received immense appreciation and admiration from the audience and the critics alike. The magic of Sufism is prevalent in the film and it makes sure to mesmerize viewers with its bewitching songs. The film revolves around the story of eternal love between Dev Mohan's character Sufi and Aditi Rao Hydari's character as Sujatha, who is a mute upper-caste Hindu woman.
Speaking about how silence allowed her to communicate her character more powerfully Aditi Rao Hydari says "I really enjoyed it because somewhere you create your own world with silence. You can convey a lot more without words, and doing that on-screen was a lovely experience. I could do longer takes, and since the character is all about the internal feeling, I can do a full scene with much ease."
The actress further added "The director and DOP gave me total freedom to do things in my way, be it the way I emote or the way I use a frame, I had complete freedom. I also learned the sign language; we had a sign language teacher on the sets every single day of the shoot, and the director was very particular about it."
The film is written and directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas and produced by Vijay Babu under his banner Friday Film House. The film is shot by cinematographer Anu Moothedath and edited by Deepu Joseph. Sufiyum Sujatayum is brought together by executive producer Vinay Babu. Don't miss out on the eternal love come alive in the musical romantic drama film!
