MUMBAI: Recently, there have been a lot of movie announcements that have made the audience curious and excited, be it with the expectation with the storyline of the movie or be it the cast of the movie. There are times when the audience gets a unique treat due to the unique concept of the movie.
This year started with a bang. The audience got to watch some amazing teasers, trailers and even announcements of many movies both Hindi and South movies. While some movies released and gave good content to the audience, there are some which are yet to be released.

After a lot of announcements, there came one more which got the audience excited. The anticipation of the audience for the upcoming series ‘Showtime’ got really high. The series features a great cast that consists of actors like Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Shriya Saran. Directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, the show is set to air on Disney+Hotstar, promising a captivating exploration of the unseen world behind the camera.
The trailer of the series just released and it has taken the audience by storm due to it’s relevancy and intensity. Let’s take a look at the trailer below:
As the trailer begins, we see Emraan Hashmi just as we expect him to be which is extremely delightful but it doesn’t end there as the trailer has just begun. We get to see a great star cast on the peak of their performances be it Mouni Roy, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajeev Khandelwal or even Mahima Makwana for that matter. The series will be available to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from March 8.
First things first, the concept of the series talks about a much needed and much discussed topic of nepotism and art vs profit. A lot of artist, inside and outside the showbiz would relate to this topic and would be highly intrigued to watch it.
As the trailer progresses, we get to see not just some amazing actors but also their amazing acting skills which becomes another reason to watch this. What really works out for supporting the essence of the show is the BGM which really keeps you hooked throughout while we see a hint of the face-off between Emraan Hashmi and Mahima Makwana.
With a real subject of nepotism and the debate about it, the show later takes you through a journey of the world that’s behind and beyond the camera and gives you a great and realistic insight about how it all works.
In the series, we expect some great performances of all the actors, an amazing face-off between Mahima Makwana and Emraan Hashmi while Rajeev Khandelwal also will become essential part as the superstar. Apart from that, we will not just get a fresh perspective about nepotism but will also get to know about the system of Hindi movie industry in the current times.
