18 years of Prabhas: Here is how the actor made it big in the South and Bollywood

18 years ago, on this day, superstar Prabhas made an entry in the industry.

MUMBAI: South superstar Prabhas, popularly known as the Baahubali star, has been ruling the hearts of the audiences for 18 years now. Today marks the 18th year of the actor in the industry. Prabhas made his debut with the 2002 Telugu action drama film Eeswar. He earned the state Nandi Award for Best Actor for his role in Mirchi. Prabhas is also the first South Indian actor to have his wax sculpture at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.

His works include Varsham (2004), Chatrapathi (2005), Chakram (2005), Billa (2009), Darling (2010), Mr. Perfect (2011), and Mirchi (2013). The actor got huge fame after working in S. S. Rajamouli's epic action film Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), which is the fourth highest grossing Indian film to date. The movie was loved by fans all over the globe because of his on-screen presence and the action sequences. It was the talk of the town for a long time, and the characters of the movie are very popular.

Well, the efforts made by the makers and actors like Prabhas paid off. Prabhas reprised his role in its sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), which became the first Indian film ever to gross over ₹1,000 crores in all languages in just ten days, and it is the second highest grossing Indian film to date.

Later, we have seen the actor winning the hearts of his South and Bollywood fans in the movie Saaho. He was loved for his style and swag in it.

Well, there is no doubt that the actor has been defining versatility since his debut, and we would love to see more of him in the coming days.

On the professional front, the actor will be seen in Radhe Shyam with Pooja Hedge and in another movie titled Adi Purush.
