Once something happens in Bollywood, it is followed up with something similar some time later.
Everyone is aware about the clash between Yash Raj Films (YRF) and Ajay Devgn Films (ADF) on the issue of exhibition of their to-be released films Jab Tak Hai Jaan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Son of Sardaar that stars Ajay Devgn besides Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha.

A similar case is on the anvil as the makers of Aamir Khan’s Talaash, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar have asked single screen owners to allow an uninterrupted two-week run to their film that is bound to affect Akshay Kumar's Khiladi 786.
While Talaash will release on 30 November, Khiladi 786 will open a week later on 7 December.
It is already known that YRF asked single screen owners to give their film as many screens as Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger. This put most exhibitors in a quandary since Ek Tha Tiger was a single big Eid release whereas there are two big releases during the diwali period. And now with the kind of diktat the makers of Talaash have spelt out, most theatre owners are of the view they would like to decide on the film's second week run after assessing the response in the first week.
All said and done, the trend started off by YRF isn’t healthy at all. This sparks off a very unhealthy trend in the industry.
