Akshay dines in Don's own country

Now that the mania of Chennai Express promotions has died down, it is time for Ekta Kapoor’s magnum opus to take center stage. And what better place to kickstart the promotion of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Dobaara, than Dubai itself, where the Big Daddy of Underworld is rumored to have ensconced himself. So off went Akshay, with Imran, Sonakshi and Ekta in tow on a whirlwind promotional tour of Dubai that included a stopover at Meydan IMAX and the famous Gold Souk in Dubai. But these are the usual promotional campaigns that stars undertake. What, however, made their trip extra special was a coveted Eid dinner invitation that they received from none other than His Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, of the Dubai Royal Family. Of course, this one was a not-to be-missed invite and the entire cast and crew promptly landed up at Prince Mohammad’s home in Nad- Al- Sheba. With the stars in his royal house, films became a natural topic of discussion. ‘Why is Bollywood called Bollywood?’ asked the Prince to which Imran wittily replied “Because of its Bombay connection.” The dinner with the Prince ended on a high note with the Prince showcasing his prized possession a dinosaur egg much to the pleasant surprise of his Bollywood guests. And for once, the stars turned into fans themselves with everyone wanting a picture of the priceless egg.
