MUMBAI: When the going gets tough, the tough get going. That's the adage Producer Anand Pandit firmly believes in. Not the one to take adverse circumstances lying down, Anand Pandit is known to make the impossible happen according to many in the industry. And that exactly what he has been up to during the lockdown'".
"As the leader of my team, it is important that I stay a step ahead and motivate them. And I need to do that by example not just talk. My mantra is to look at the brighter side.", says Anand Pandit.
Not the one to sit back Anand Pandit has been working furiously to complete the post-production part of his films. Ensuring that the lockdown isn't violated in any way, Anand Pandit has ensured that he uses technology to the fullest and in the best possible way to get the job done.
The first thing that he managed to get done was to have the best desktops and laptops dropped off at the homes of his technicians. The second thing he did was ensuring a schedule by which the team could work by from their home itself. Using WhatsApp chats, Zoom video calls, and other apps, the team ensured that work happened seamlessly.
"We have to learn to adapt to the new normal. Something is not going to be possible like back in the days. Edits, VFX, color corrections - all this can happen remotely and shared with the team over the internet. Zoom calls allow us to make decisions in real-time, says Anand Pandit.
Pointing to the various music videos, anthems, and concerts being produced remotely and aired across the world, Anand Pandit believes that necessity is indeed the mother of all invention. And that the sooner we adapt, the better our chances of collectively beating the odds.
