In an exclusive segment ‘Magic With GiGi’, anchor, actor and scriptwriter Gayatri Gauri got in touch with Anjali Anand, where the actress shared how she felt after talking about child abuse and body shaming in the past.

She rose to fame with her debut in the TV show Dhhai Kilo Prem, where she broke stereotypes with her strong, body-positive role. She further impressed audiences in Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, portraying a complex character with emotional depth.

Anjali Anand in an explosive interview with Gayatri Gauri in her talk show ‘maGic with GiGi’,revealed how she felt after talking about child abuse and body shaming in the past.

Anjali Anand said, “I felt lighter and I’ve seen a lot of love from a lot of people who knew me at that time. I didn’t want to give this part of my life, I didn’t want to be all about this, and that is why I did so many things, so that yeh doesn’t outweigh what I’ve already done and that will never happen because I’m not that person. I’m not the person who went through that thing. I’m this person what I’ve made of myself. So I did feel lighter. A lot of people reached out and I think it helped a lot of people deal with their own issues and their own past and their own things that have happened to them and I hope and pray that whoever is in that same situation...and the strength to get out of it.” When asked if she had taken any help to get out of her trauma, Anjali Anand replied with a ‘No’.
