Film production fraternity grieved at untimely death of Dinesh Gandhi

The film production fraternity has been saddened by the untimely death of film producer-financer Dinesh Gandhi who was charred to death along with his wife in a massive fire that broke out on three days back in the 26-storey Mont Blanc building in upscale Kemps Corner area, Mumbai. Though initially the cause of the fire was not known, it has been reported today that it was a short circuit that was the cause of the fire. Observed producer, director Ashim Samanta, “With the death of Gandhi the industry has lost a good human being. He had a very good reputation in the industry. It is indeed unfortunate of him being caught up in the fire in his building that took away his life. May he rest in peace!.” Besides financing for several films, Gandhi made films like the Amitabh Bacchan, Anil Kapoor and Preity Zinta-starrer Armaan and Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit-starrer Tezaab.
