Being in the industry for such a long time surely takes a lot of strength and with all the ups and downs, there come all the valuable lessons.
Ayesha Jhulka has been in the industry now for more than 3 decades and after the fan base that she still has, it says a lot about her grand presence.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Ayesha Jhulka revealed about the time when she was ousted from a Sunny Deol starrer overnight and how she was taken aback.
The actress said, “One fine day I just get a call from their production house that you’re no more part of the film, without any explanation, without any reasoning. And I wondered, ‘Why? What happened? You just did the mohrat, you selected me, then what happened?’” Adding more to it, she revealed that she cried. She said, “I had cried for that. That was the only time I must’ve ever cried and I felt that how can this happen, what is the reason, why. So, later on, somebody from their production department or someone told me that ‘because may be you signed small films like Kurbaan so you know this doesn’t match that’ or something like that. I was quite taken aback. I mean I can’t even imagine something like that and just thrown out of the film without given an explanation. And that was something that made me even stronger later and I said ‘no’. It was like proving a point that for my own self, for other people, because everywhere it was written she has been replaced, she’s been thrown out, so somebody who’s not even seen her first release, and this whole thing which was killing my missions and my future, was disturbing me. And then I went in with vengeance that I have to do my best for which I have in my hand, which was Kurbaan, and in 2-3 months of time I signed Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, then I signed Khiladi and then Meet Tere Mann Ki and then so many more films kept coming and I kept signing these films because I wanted to prove myself that yes, I can act, yes I can work and may be because they think I’m not a good actor or whatever is the reason, the reason was never given to me, so I don’t know why I was thrown out.”
