Mumbai: Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna's debut directorial feature "The Last Color" will be screened at the ongoing 21st Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star. The film featuring Neena Gupta deals with taboo surrounding widows in India.
The film recently won Best Feature Film at Indian International Film Festival of Boston (IFFB).
On his film being screened at MAMI, Vikas expressed happiness, saying "it's a dream come true".
"Filmmaking is the most difficult form of storytelling, but the most effective one. I am super excited that the movie is getting screened at MAMI Film Festival in Mumbai. It's a dream come true. The movie has gained so much appreciation internationally and I hope people in India will also like it," said Khanna.
"'The Last Color' story is about the rise of human spirit in darkness. The super talented team behind National Award winning films like 'I Am Kalam', 'Kadwi Hawa' and 'Poorna' has come together for this epic journey," he added.
The film's screening at Jio MAMI fest will take place on October 18.
