MUMBAI : Kalki 2898 AD has become a sensation even before its release. Prabhas is the first Pan-India star as he got maximum recognition with his performance in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali – The Beginning and Baahubali – The Conclusion. The audience is still in love with the movies. The actor was last seen in Prashanth Neel’s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. Prabhas gave an action-packed performance but even before that, the audience knew that he was coming up with Kalki 2898 AD and the audience was simply excited as they kept getting more and more updates about the movie.

Kalki 2898 AD is directed by Nag Ashwin. Other than Prabhas, the Pan-India movie also features Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Rana Daggubati. The audience has been patiently waiting for this one since the time it was announced. It is scheduled to release on 27th June this year and earlier, we reported with a lot of updates about the movie, be it SS Rajamouli’s cameo, the movie being the first part of the sequence and so much more. It will be really amazing to see this duo of SS Rajamouli and Prabhas in a movie but this time both of them as actors.

The trailer of the movie got an amazing response for its VFX and now we got a peek into the pre-release event of the movie where Kamal Haasan talked about his initial reaction when Nag Ashwin approached him.

Kamal Haasan said, “I am used to these kind of ordinary looking people who do extraordinary things. My boss, my mentor was one such man. He looked like a govt. official First thing if he enters any house you’ll think it’s an income tax raid but I’ve seen what he was capable of from the kind of films he did. I think ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’ was his 60th or 70th film. So I was not surprised. I don’t underestimate these ordinary-looking guys. They have a depth to them that doesn’t show unless you talk to them and I did have the opportunity of talking to him. Man of few words, that’s a succinct way of putting forward your idea if it extends to movies great ideas will translate better. When they don’t know how to present it then great ideas become ordinary movies but this guy knew how to present an idea which, as Amit ji said, first thing you ask is what has he been smoking or drinking, but that is how great ideas are formed. I mean ordinary people will doubt it and they’ll start respecting it. I could see a bit of that. I was mourning backstage to Amit ji, I was always wanted to play bad man because the bad man gets to do all the good things in films. Where the heroes are singing romantic songs and waiting for the heroine while he (the bad man) can just go ahead and do what he wants. I thought I’m gonna play the bad man so it’s gonna be fun but then he wanted it to be different and I’m almost like a sage in the film with a bad idea.”
