MUMBAI: A 25-year-old man from Rajasthan who talked about the Bishnoi Gang and his plans to kill Salman Khan on his YouTube channel, "Are Chhodo Yar," has been taken into custody by the Mumbai Police's Crime Branch. On Sunday afternoon, the accused was taken to Mumbai.

Crime branch officials claim that the young person Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, who is from Boarda village in Fazalpura, Hingoli, District Bundi in Rajasthan, posted a video on his channel in which he declared that Salman Khan will be killed because he did not apologize and that all of the gang members from Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Bar were with him.

The content of the video that Gujar recorded on his phone while driving along a random highway in Rajasthan quickly gained popularity when it was uploaded.

When the Mumbai Police officials came across this video, they traced the video’s creator and a team was dispatched to Rajasthan to apprehend Gujar who was brought to Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. After arresting Gujar from Rajasthan, police, here, registered a complaint against him at South Cyber Police station under sections 506 (2) (criminal intimidation with death threat), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 66 (d) (cheating by personation by using computer resource) of the Information Technology Act.

Gujar's criminal history is still not known, thus efforts are being made to investigate it to determine the reason behind his actions and whether or not the statements he makes in the video are real or only a publicity stunt.

On April 14, two men on a motorbike fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. Police after registering a case arrested six individuals out of one, Anuj Thapan, who allegedly committed suicide in a police lockup on May 1.

In the meantime, five more people were taken into custody by the Navi Mumbai police in relation to the same investigation. These individuals included members of the Haryana-based Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs. According to Navi Mumbai police, Khan was the target of a second attack plan at his Panvel property following gunfire at his Bandra house.

Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol's names have also been mentioned in the FIR. Currently imprisoned at Ahmedabad's Sabarmati Central Prison, Bishnoi is expected to be taken into custody by police so that he can be questioned.
