Mumbai Police warns media not to chase Rhea Chakraborty’s car, READ MORE

Soon after Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail, Mumbai Police Deputy Commissioner sent ‘no chase’ warming to the media.

MUMBAI: Rhea Chakraborty was the prime suspect in the Sushant’s death case, the actress was in custody for almost a month, and today she was granted bail by the High Court, along with house manager Samuel Miranda, and staff Dipesh Sawant. Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty and drug peddler Abdul Basit Parishar’s bail pleas got rejected. Rhea’s bail plea was approved on 5 conditions which include her marking presence at the nearest police station, paying surety of Rs 1 lakh among other things. As Rhea is set to leave for her home from Byculla jail, Mumbai police have sent strict warning to the media. 

Soon after she was released, Mumbai Police Deputy Commissioner, Sangram Singh Nishandar said no media should chase the actress, lawyer or anyone related to the case for the interview. It is a strict offence. Mr Nishandar told reporters, “You cannot chase the vehicle of any celebrity, advocate or any person you wish to interview. You cannot endanger your life, the life of that person or normal people walking on the roads. It's an offence. We will take stern action, not only against the driver but against the person instigating, instructing the person to do such a chase.” Well, the move came in after Rhea was mobbed outside the NCB office when she had arrived for the investigation.

Soon after Rhea’s pics went viral, Mr Nishandar told news agency ANI, “We have observed a lot of media vehicles chasing people who were called for the inquiry. The vehicles will be seized because they are endangering their lives as well as the lives of whoever was called and common people.”

Before she was taken into custody, Rhea Chakrabroty appeared before NCB officers in connection with the drug syndicate. Rhea was sent to jail on September 9.
