MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty made an appearance on 'We For India', a COVID-19 fundraiser, on Sunday. This was Shilpa Shetty’s first appearance after the arrest of her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, last month.
In her segment, Shilpa demonstrated some breathing exercises and then went on to talk about how to overcome negative thoughts. She said that it is possible for negative thoughts to flood one's mind when during difficult times.
Talking about a solution for the same, the actress suggested pranayama and stressed the importance of controlling one’s breath.
Reportedly, the Hungama 2 actress said, “Mushkil waqt mein negative thoughts ka aana swabhavik hai. Lekin uspe control ke liye prana par ayam hona bohot zaroori hai. That is why positive rehne ke liye apni breathing ko sahi karne ke liye, aaj ke time mein pranayam pehle se bhi zyada zaroori ho gaya hai (It is natural to have negative thoughts during tough times but to control that, it is important to control your breath. That is why pranayama has become integral to remain positive and improve breathing).”.
Shilpa Shetty added, “I really hope that these pranayamas help you in your daily life and in your immunity and health.”.
The actress then went on and reminded everyone to wear a mask, regular sanitising and social distancing. She urged everyone to get vaccinated soon too.
During her segment, the actress reminded everyone how we are living in times when everything is dependent on breathing. She stressed the importance of a clean nasal passage. Shilpa said, “If our nasal passage is cleansed, oxygen can reach the brain cells properly and immunity is increased.”.
Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty issued a statement on her husband, Raj Kundra’s arrest. She urged everyone to respect the privacy of her family and for the sake of her two children - Viaan and Samisha.
