Shahid, Sonakshi, Prabhu Dheva launch music of R...Rajkumar

Music launch of R
R...Rajkumar's music launch held yesterday at a suburban five star was a really starry affair. Kick starting the proceedings for the evening were the very handsome Mukul Dev and the seriously funny Asrani who hosted the event and had the entire audience in splits with their witty repartees. The real action however began when Prabhu Dheva and Shahid Kapoor made a surprise entry from the common gate grooving to the beats of Gandi Baat. The awesome twosome raised a riot with their furious dance moves and literally had the audience wishing for more. Next to take center stage was the beautiful Sonakshi Sinha who grooved to the tunes of Saree ke fall sa. The Shotgun's daughter however left us a tad disappointed with her usual jhatkas and matkas. But one actor who shone brightly yesterday was Sonu Sood who has always been the industry's underdog. Sonu rocked the dance floor yesterday with Kaddu Katega. A total of five songs from the movie were unveiled yesterday. All songs have been composed by Pritam. Keeping the mood and ambience of the movie in mind, Pritam has given a rustic village touch to all songs. Gandi Baat is an instant foot tapping number. Sung extremely well by the versatile Mika, this is perhaps the best song of the movie and looks set to be a major chartbuster. Mat mari rendered by Kunal Ganjawala and Sunidhi Chauhan has a strong South Indian flavour to it. The loud beats and fast paced singing evokes memories of a typical Tamil movie. But that doesn't take the fun away from the song even one bit. Saree ke fall, Kaddu Katega and Dhoka Dhadi are average fares though. What's interesting to note is the catchy lyrics. Love it or hate it, you just cannot ignore it. From the looks of the songs yesterday, one thing looks certain. Audience can expect an entertaining a dance riot. And the refreshing factor looks to be Shahid's dance which has Prabhu Dheva written all over it. Suffice to say Prabhu made Shahid dance to his tunes.
