MUMBAI: It seems Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Arijit Singh, one of the most celebrated playback singers of the present, have resolved to terminate their nine-year-old dispute. The 'Chaleya' singer was seen exiting the actor's Bandra, Mumbai, home in the early hours of Wednesday, sparking a social media frenzy.

The breakdown between Salman and Arijit started in 2014 after a heated argument at an awards ceremony. The star was in no mood to forget the event and move on, even though the singer was prepared to later apologize and bury the hatchet.

According to reports, Arijit also sang "Jag Ghoomeya" for Salman's 2016 film Sultan, but the actor made sure that the part was removed and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan later sang the song.

Late on Wednesday night, Arijit Singh was spotted exiting Salman Khan's Bandra, Mumbai, apartment complex, surprising the actor's fans who had gathered outside.

Fans quickly assumed that the actor and singer would finally be working together on a project after all these years as the video quickly became popular online. Some even believed that the singer will have a love song in Tiger 3, Salman's future movie.

In the video clip, Arijit is seen sitting in a car and speeding away without speaking to anyone as he leaves the Galaxy Apartments' gates.

Although neither Salman nor Arijit have made any hints regarding their upcoming collaboration, it appears that they are now prepared to move on and start over.

All of this began with a 2014 awards ceremony that Riteish Deshmukh and Salman hosted. Arijit Singh walked the stage wearing a casual shirt, jeans, and chappals when he accepted the award for best playback vocalist that evening.

The musician said that he wasn't fully dressed for the event because he came straight from a recording session. However, Salman did not like Arijit's laid-back attitude and made fun of him on stage by asking, "Tu hai winner?"

Arijit said, "Aap logon ne sula diya," in front of the biggest names in B-Town, and this did not sit well with the superstar. Arijit was not in the mood to take Salman's jab without a response. A number of Salman movies, including Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Sultan, omitted Arijit's songs. Later, the singer wrote a public apology on Facebook in which he claimed Salman had rejected his several attempts to make amends.

"Dear Mr Salman Khan, this is the last way I thought I would speak to you. I have been trying to text you call you and do everything possible to tell you that you are mistaken about the fact that I insulted you. I never did," his statement reads.

Arijit has resisted commenting on the Salman situation in recent years, but it appears that everything is going well between the two at the moment.
