MUMBAI: Vardhan Puri, acclaimed for his remarkable and impactful performances in Yeh Saali Aashiqui, Aseq and more recently in ‘Dashmi’ released this year, is making headlines once again with his next offering, Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Bloody Ishq’. Starring alongside Avika Gor of Balika Vadhu fame, Vardhan feels blessed to have worked with the two genius filmmakers who are also well known for their knack of music and rhythm.
The young promising actor expressed his enthusiasm for the film and the unique musical experience it brought. “Bhatt sahab and Vikram Bhatt sir are known for their tremendous taste in music. I have been a great fan of all their albums and songs, especially the songs sung by the legendary KK sir. In fact, music plays a character in all their films. With 'Bloody Ishq', I experienced their musical mastery first hand and it has been an incredible experience. I was fortunate to sit with them when they were jamming with the music director - it’s something that I will cherish forever.”
“Bhatt sahab’s understanding of music is very deep. Therefore, my understanding of music and its marriage with moving pictures got largely enhanced after working with these two (Vikram and Mahesh Bhatt sir) geniuses,” Vardhan adds.
“There are songs (of ‘Bloody Ishq’) which I am already addicted to and I just can’t wait to share them with the audiences. Vikram sir has a tremendous sense of rhythm, not just in music, but also in the pacing of scenes and the way the dialogues are expressed. The way they edit their scenes based on music pieces is par excellence,” he concludes.
In addition to ‘Bloody Ishq’, Vardhan has a busy year ahead with several projects in the pipeline. Among them is the romantic comedy ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’, directed by Kunal Kohli for Jio Studios.
