Veteran actress Tabassum Govil passed away last evening due to cardiac arrest. She started her journey as a child actor and was also famously known for her talk show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan. We pray that the actress’ soul rests in peace.   
Veteran actress Tabassum Govil passes away

MUMBAI : Today, we got the sad news that veteran actress Tabassum Govil passed away last evening due to cardiac arrest. She made her debut as a child artist in the year 1947 with the film Nargis. She was famously known as Baby Tabassum and featured in many famous films like Mera Suhaag, Manjhdhar, Bari Behen, Baiju Bawra, and others.

Her show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan ran for 21 years during which she interviewed film celebrities. Not just as a child artist, but even as an adult, she was featured in many films like Chameli Ki Shaadi, Naache Mayuri, and others.

The actress also had a YouTube channel named Tabassum Talkies with 7 lakh+ subscribers. Her style of talking was very unique and she used to also recite some wonderful poems in her shows.

Apart from Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan, she also starred in the fiction show Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam. She played the role of the lead actor’s grandmother. 

Last year, there were reports of her death which turned out to be fake. To clear that it’s a death hoax, she had posted on instagram, “Aapki shubhkamnaon ki wajah se main bilkul theek hoon,tandurust hoon aur apne parivaar ke saath hoon.Ye jo rumour phail rahi hai mere baare mein woh bilkul ghalat hai, aur main yeh dua karti hoon ke aap sab bhi apne ghar mein safe rahein.”
