MUMBAI: Fatima Sana Shaikh is often praised for her ability to seamlessly transform into any character a director envisions, truly making her the director’s Actor. Her impressive career includes collaborations with some of the biggest director’s in the film industry, following her career breakout with acclaimed director Nitesh Tiwari in ‘Dangal’. Since then, the actress has collaborated with Meghna Gulzar in ‘Sam Bahadur’, Anurag Basu in ‘Ludo’, and Tarun Dudeja in ‘Dhak Dhak’. She has always showcased an ability to adapt to the needs of the director in every project she has taken, which contributed significantly to all of her film’s success.
In old interview talking about how she got convinced to accept the role, Fatima said, "I wasn't sure ki mujhe yeh karna chaiye. But I always wanted to work with Meghna. Fir jab apka director apko bolta hai ki nahi aap karlo, toh fir aap karte ho, aap sochte nhi."
Speaking of characters and how they affect the actors personally, Fatima had shared, "Meri zindagi un characters se nahi badalti but jin logo ke sath mai kam karti hun unse badalti hai, ki woh kya value add kar rhe hai. Woh mujhe shape karta hai."
Once Fatima also spoke about how she is elated to be working with renowned director Anurag Basu. She said," For me it's just working with Anurga Dada, the best feeling ever. He is like home to me. It's like going back to someone who has given you strength and in a lot of ways".
