MUMBAI: Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding with Zaheer Iqbal has been grabbing attention for the past couple of weeks. Concerns over Shatrughan Sinha's potential attendance at his daughter's wedding have been widely reported in the media. But now that the father and his future son-in-law Zaheer Iqbal have finally taken photos, everything in the family appears to be going well.

When Sonakshi first entered the profession with Salman Khan's Dabangg, people were quick to point out how strikingly similar she looked to Shatrughan Sinha's ex-girlfriend Reena Roy, with whom the actor even had an adulterous affair.

Breaking her silence, Reena then said, “Sonakshi looks like her mom, Poonam Sinha, not me. I think Salman Khan’s family has given her a very typical Indian look that resembles my look on screen. When I did Zakhmee, I was called Asha Parekh and Nasir Hussain’s daughter. Dimple Kapadia was referred to as Nargis’s (& Raj Kapoor’s) daughter. Film industry mein toh yeh silsila chalte rehta hai. Kuch din baad khatam ho jaata hai.”

He added, “Wahin na, yeh zindagi ke ittefaq hote hain (these are the quirks of destiny). Jeetuji’s mother and my mother look like twin sisters.”
