The leap in Guddan has been put on halt, reveals Nishant Malkani

MUMBAI: Zee TV’ popular show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega’s leap has been put on halt, revealed by the lead actor Nishant Malkani who plays the role of Akshat Jindal in the show.

In a conversation with TellyChakkar, Nishant shared, “Well, there is change in plan. Initially, makers planned to introduce a leap in the Guddan immediately after the lockdown however there was lots of love from our fans and requested channel and the production house about not liking the idea of the show taking a leap. They sent lots of mail and messages asking the channel to re-consider the decision. So at the moment the leap plan has been put on halt and what little I know is that at least till the end of this month leap is not happening. Also, it all depends upon ratings. If the show fairs well on the rating charts then we will continue with the same plot but for any reason if rating dips then leap will be a good idea for a fresh start.”

Do you consider yourself fortunate to receive so much love and also get a chance to be part of the show for time being? “I have been part of the show for one and half years and I am emotionally attached to it. If I had to leave it would have been vulnerable for me now that I got some more time to spend I am very fortunate.”

Since the leap idea has been dropped for a while, what viewers can look forward to in the coming episodes. “Well, as we know Guddan is pregnant and he will deliver a cute little daughter. In the coming episodes viewers will see Akshat and Guddan’s cute moments with the baby. Since, children are not allowed on the sets we are shooting with a cute plastic doll while her close-ups are taken at her home. Precautions and actors safely come first.”
