Tell us something about your career. Did you always want to be an actor?

Yes, I always wanted to be an actor. I was preparing myself for it back in Jaipur. Then, I failed in an assignment. My confidence broke down and then I took a break and participated in school plays and performed on 26th January and 15th August. By then, I knew that I wanted to become an actor. I then began to do theatre and started to train myself in acting. I came to Mumbai with big dreams and auditioned for roles. I would get a negative response at times. The journey hasn’t been that smooth.

Did your family support your decision of becoming an actor then?

There was a financial crisis back home and that’s why my family couldn’t support me that much. I thus started work in theatre, auditioned for TV serials and commercials, and then again wasn’t selected. Again, my confidence came down, and at one point, I doubted myself and my acting skills. I gave many auditions but never got a call but used to tell myself that I will get a return call.

How did you bag the upcoming show Mithaai?

I gave the audition, and then, for some time, the call didn’t come. I thought to myself that if I am good, I will definitely get the call. Then, suddenly, one day, I got the call. There was an outdoor shoot and then we shot in Mumbai. I was finally a part of the show.
