Aek Chabi gears up for a musical rendezvous

The musical reality shows are a hit with masses but they are now appealing to the soap makers too. Inspired by Voice of India,Aek Chabi Hai Pados Main on Star Plus have come out with their own version called Voice of Colonel Ganj. The cast and crew members of Aek Chabi… were in for a pleasant surprise recently when Voice of India contestants visited the sets as well. Suhasi Goradia, aka Urmi, says, "After listening to the melodious voices of contestants we decided to hold our own singing contest in the neighbourhood. So, Colonel Gunj had turned into a big stage where all the characters of the show were seen singing and performing on their favourite Bollywood numbers." The best part is that Sandeep (Varun Badola), who plays the soft spoken music lover on the show, had the whole mohalla groove to his melodious crooning style. "The singing contest in Colonel Gunj was a great affair as everyone turned out to sing their favourite numbers. I had a great time shooting for the episode" said Varun. Varun Badola is participating in the musical realty show Jhoom India. So, singing on Aek Chabi… served as an impromptu rehearsal.
