MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra made it to the headlines recently as his wife alleged that he resorted to physical violence. She registered an official complaint at Goregaon police station where he was arrested and he is now out on bail.
While Nisha accused him of violence, he said that she is bipolar and she herself banged her head on the wall and tried to frame him. Karan also mentioned that there was a heated debate about the alimony where Nisha was asking for an amount that he could not afford. Now, sources inform us that Karan and Nisha’s home is on a loan and they were facing financial crises due to the lockdown. Apparently, Nisha’s jewellery was being sold to pay off the EMIs of the house.
Karan and Nisha have cleared their car loan and while Nisha is living in the same house, Karan has moved into his brother’s apartment.
Karan Mehra has refuted his wife’s allegations and said that there was trouble in his marriage with Nisha for a couple of years and they were trying to ‘fix things’. Karan shared that he has been in a strained relationship for a couple of years now, and since they could see there was no point staying together, they decided to part ways. Given that they have a son, he wanted to separate amicably so that they can give him a good future.
